Sales representatives are responsible for prospecting new customers and growing current accounts. Ideal candidates have outside, direct sales experience in a monthly quota-based environment and preferably 3 years or more orthodontic sales experience.

Opal Orthodontic Business Development Lead

Looking for an individual to be responsible for identifying orthodontic product/market opportunities and assessing the business development of our growing Opal Orthodontics division based out of Salt Lake City. 

Business Development Lead will participate in the development of marketing and sales tools, and collaborate with clinical department on product evaluations.  Will lead or participate in relationships between suppliers and internal operations as needed as well as in relationships between industry advocates and internal teams. Act as a knowledgeable orthodontic market resource for the Opal Orthodontic teams and collaborate in product development and marketing campaign projects.  This position will require up to 25% travel.

Position Experience Required:

  • In depth orthodontic market knowledge (products, competitors, etc.)
  • Strong relationships throughout the orthodontic business (manufacturers/distributors, advocates, practitioners)
  • Technical competency in orthodontic products and procedures
  • Product development experience
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Marketing experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Knowledge of international orthodontic marketplace a plus

Experience Required:

  • 7-10 Years Orthodontic Market (preferably in home office positions vs field sales)

Schooling or Degree Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business Admin.  MBA Preferred.
