PCSO Recognizes Opal Orthodontics Advisory Board Members

PCSO board members honored Drs. Terry McDonald and Rick McLaughlin individually for their achievements and contributions to the PCSO and the specialty of orthodontics.

PCSO, the largest constituent of the American Academy of Orthodontists, was founded in 1917 and consists of approximately 3000 members. PCSO board members selected Dr. Terry McDonald as the new recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. Established in 2005, the Lifetime Achievement Award represents “exceptional personal effort by a PCSO member to advance the art and science of the orthodontic specialty”. Dr. McDonald is the 3rd recipient of this award, preceded by Dr. Larry Andrews, “Father of the Straightwire Appliance”, and Dr. Art Dugoni, the longest-serving dental school dean in the nation.
